FIELD DAY: Precision Agriculture

Precision agriculture might be the two words we need when it comes to supporting farmers cropping around the wetlands on their farms.

Its a tricky request, asking farmers not to sow entire areas of their paddocks for the benefit of the environment, when they are operating a commercial business.

But a new project highlighting how precision agriculture technology can yield results in the crop harvest without sowing the wetland areas might be just what farmers need to see value in both their farm business bottom line and environmental credentials.

This on-farm field day offers practical advice and first-hand experiences into how precision ag (soil testing, variable rate fertiliser application, paddock mapping etc) can help both the business bottom line and the environment.
