Spring monitoring of grasslands and finding Species Three

Spring monitoring of the natural temperate grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plains has begun.

This has included visiting sites of the pilot project which has scalped roadsides and had native grasses replanted on them.

The first round of monitoring, on November 19, found the rare plant – Species Three – an Arthropodium variety so new to science it hasn’t been given a common name yet!
