Works on Waterways Licence Fee: $300.00 inc GST

The Works on Waterways Licence fee comprises of an administrative base fee of $180 (GST inclusive) + a licensing fee of $120 (GST inclusive). Payment of the Works on Waterways Licence fee ($300.00 inc GST) is required when submitting this form. Once you have completed your form you will be redirected to our secure payment platform (Stripe) to pay by debit or credit card.

Note: This service provides you with a licence to undertake Works on, in or around a designated Waterway in accordance with the Water Act 1989. If you do not require a Works on Waterways Licence but would like some guidance, please apply for Works on Waterway Advice.

Construction plans which meet the following minimum requirements. Neat sketches will suffice for most farm crossings.

a cross section of the waterway at the proposed works site with dimensions of the waterway channel (width and depth)
a plan (overhead) view of the proposed works including any rock beaching
side elevation view(s) of the proposed works including any rock beaching

Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) *

To determine if a CHMP is required, complete the Aboriginal Heritage Regulations Planning Tool at https://heritage.achris.vic.gov.au/aavQuestion1.aspx. If you are unable to complete the Aboriginal Heritage Regulations Planning Tool, please contact First Peoples - State Relations on 1800 762 003 or Aboriginalaffairs@dpc.vic.gov.au for assistance.

Glenelg Hopkins CMA is not able to issue a Works on Waterways Licence if a CHMP is required but has not been prepared.

Upload either:

The process list generated upon completion of the Aboriginal Heritage Regulations Planning Tool, or
Completed CHMP if it is required for your proposed works. This must be an approved CHMP including the letter of approval.
