The Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority protects and enhances the land, water and biodiversity across 26,910 sq km of Victoria’s South-West.
The Works on Waterways Licence fee comprises of an administrative base fee of $180 (GST inclusive) + a licensing fee of $120 (GST inclusive). Payment of the Works on Waterways Licence fee ($300.00 inc GST) is required when submitting this form. Once you have completed your form you will be redirected to our secure payment platform (Stripe) to pay by debit or credit card.
Note: This service provides you with a licence to undertake Works on, in or around a designated Waterway in accordance with the Water Act 1989. If you do not require a Works on Waterways Licence but would like some guidance, please apply for Works on Waterway Advice.

Glenelg Hopkins CMA is not able to issue a Works on Waterways Licence if a CHMP is required but has not been prepared.
Upload either:
If works are likely to change the flow of water across the boundary of your property, consent will need to be sought from neighbouring landholders who may be affected.
If applicable, upload a short signed statement including adjacent landholder contact details acknowledging that the adjacent landholders have been informed and consent has been provided.
Provide details as to how matters such as rubbish, storage of chemicals, machinery and vehicle wash down, potential waterway contamination/pollution will be managed.
As relevant, provide details of proposed reinstatement and/or environmental enhancement works. NOTE: The granting of a Works on Waterways Licence may be conditional on environmental reinstatement and/or enhancement works to offset potential loss or damage to environmental values resulting from the proposed works.
e.g., Bed and banks will be protected by rock beaching as per the CMA, or other appropriate guidelines.
